When you’ve been at a job as long as I have you get the maximum amount of vacation or holiday time. In my case, I get 28 days as well as the two weeks I carried over from last week.

I’ll wind up carrying over three weeks (the maximum) this year as I currently have 14 days to use or lose, in addition to those three weeks.  So, today is Random Tuesday off.  Which is good since my last week was crazy and I’ve been sick and the littlest one is now ill as well.

Our Thanksgiving was pretty good. My youngest son had to have some minor surgery and all was well. My mother came down with the baby and I wound up taking care of him more than I wanted. But, truth be told, I didn’t take care of him the entire time either. That was only because I refused to. I had my own things to do and I was determined to get it done. Which I was able to do.  I didn’t get everything done though that I wanted to, but I never do.

Even though I have today off, I have to get the kids ready for school and get my coffee. New Weight Watchers plan is going to be unveiled at the meeting today so I’ll be there. As well as watching some Dr. Who’s. I really love David Tennant as him so I can’t imagine how I’m going to like the new guy in Season 5. I’ve been told I will so we shall see. Right now I’ve got a little bit of a crush on Mr. Tennant.

Books I’ve read recently: The Help. Great book.  Really got you to think about things. I’m currently reading The Confession by John Grisham and it’s pretty good as well. I’ve just not been reading as much as I normally do. Some books I can read in two days and others take a week for some reason. Both are good, I guess life just gets in the way.

Speaking of life, I’m off to live it. Starting with coffee.

The good thing about this Monday is that both of my bosses are out of the office for it. Which means it should not be too crazy as they (Mondays) normally are.

My weekend was completely lazy and relaxed and the only thing that would have made it better was if my betrothed was here with me. But he will be here in 5 weeks. Thankfully, I realize that this time will go fast and before you know it he will be here with me. At Christmas, I can’t wait.

I love this time of year, the kids love it so much that we really all just spend a lot of time together. Memories are what  you take with you. Those are worth more than any other gifts, aren’t they?

Movie night was Love Actually. I really enjoyed that movie. So many things resonated with me.  That was the perfect movie for me that night.  The night before, probably night, but Saturday night, perfect.

The problem with lazy and relaxing weekends mean I don’t have much to write about.  Oh, I could pontificate about a variety of subjects, but that’s another post, not a weekend wrap-up get ready for the week post.  This is the last full week before Thanksgiving. Yay! That means time off from work.

Speaking of work…off I go. Have a great day!

For my absence.  Because it was totally his fault. I don’t if I mentioned it before, but when my Mr. was here back in October we discussed me reading the remaining (actually, books 3-7) before the HP7 movie premiere, which is in one week. However, I truly didn’t think I could do it. Those books are HUGE!! So, my goal was to finish them by the time he came back at Christmas and then I would go see Part 1 then.

Except I didn’t expect to fall completely in love with the books. I did’t expect to have this brain-numbing obsession to finish the books. It was something I couldn’t explain, I couldn’t control. I had, no you don’t understand…I HAD to finish these, as soon as possible. I actually finished them quicker than the deadline. Now I have to wait like the rest of the world for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One the cinema edition.

That waiting stinks.

But, I’m back. And how you may wonder am I doing with the Weight Watchers. Total lost 5 pounds. I’m happy with that so far. If I lose another 10 by the time Christmas gets here I’ll be happy with it. I’ll feel better about myself that’s for sure.  I’m still working on getting started with the exercise. We’ll see what I do. I know that whatever it is it’ll be good because it’ll be more than I’m doing now. Wow! I just realized I use a lot of contractions when I write. Why is that???

Anyway, today is Saturday and I’ve got the regular, boring and mundane weekend planned. I won’t lie. I like those kinds of weekends the best.

Shy has a gymnastics practice later this morning, we’ll go to the library and then come home to chores and cooking. Movie date night is Four Weddings and  a Funeral.

I’m off to get some coffee and toast! Have a great Saturday.
